Most of our courses are open to all, but please read the course presentation to find out if the apprenticeship is right for you.

How do I register with a cover letter and CV?

How much do courses cost?

What is the deposit?

A deposit of €30 will be added to the cost of boarding. This deposit guarantees the good condition of the room and the provision of a key. It will be refunded at the end of the course, after the room has been inventoried and the key returned. We ask for a deposit per trainee, not per room.

You will receive a personal trainee card showing the amount of this deposit and the number of meals planned for your entire stay. You must keep this card throughout your stay; it will be checked at each meal, and at the end of the course you will be able to claim back the deposit. It may not be lent or exchanged.

BOARDING

What do interns and externs mean?

Externs take part in the course but do not stay on site. They can, however, buy meal tickets to eat in the refectory. Interns, on the other hand, take part in the course, stay and eat on site.

Are my meals included in the price?

If you have booked and paid for boarding, breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

How do I get a boarding place?

To apply for a boarding place, all you have to do is tick "I wish to be a boarder" when you register. However, the number of places is quite limited.

For those who would like a room but don't have one, we invite you to contact us if the camping solution suits you. For others, we invite you to consult this page.

Please note before making your choice of accommodation that boarding is an option that may not be suitable for everyone due to noise.

Is boarding really noisy?

The Neufchâteau boarding school is usually quite quiet. So you shouldn't have any trouble getting to sleep. On the other hand, the festive atmosphere in Libramont can be quite noisy.

I'm an intern, what should I bring?

Wether you're staying in Libramont or Neufchâteau, please remember to bring your own bed linen, comforter (or sleeping bag) and pillow. Please bring everything you need for a warm night's sleep.

What are the rooms like?

These are boarding rooms, so bear in mind that they only have a single bed, a desk and a wardrobe. This is not a hotel, but a boarding school. In Libramont, showers are individual, while in Neufchâteau, toilets are shared on the landing.

Can I choose my room?

No, rooms are allocated at random. We will do our best to find a room suitable for people with disabilities (subject to availability). No other negotiation will be possible.

I don't have a room in a boarding school, what can I do?

Are you ready to sleep in a tent? You can contact us by phone or e-mail to find out more about this solution. For others, we invite you to consult this page.

What do I do if I haven't found a place to stay?

If you don't have a place at the boarding school and the "camping" solution doesn't interest you, you can check out other nearby accommodation.

Will my child be supervised?

Children under the age of 14 are supervised at all times by activity leaders. For minors aged 14 and over, the Royale Académie Internationale d'Été de Wallonie relies on the students' sense of responsibility and their ability to take charge of their own lives. Starting and finishing times will be specified when you first contact the instructors, as well as the place where parents can bring and collect their children. Children should bring their own picnic lunch for the day.

What meals will I be provided with during my stay?

You'll find all the information you need about meals here: A healthy mind in a healthy body! 🍽️

I have an allergy or intolerance, what can I do?

In view of the number of registrations, the school canteens only provide vegetarian and omnivorous meals (to be ticked when registering). We therefore advise you to bring your own food if you suffer from allergies or intolerances.

FOR EXTERNS

How do I order my meals in advance?

When you register, you have the option of selecting meals. If these are paid for before the start of the course, you will receive a card enabling you to consume the meals paid for. This solution allows you to benefit from a 15% discount while reducing food waste.
